I've got a use case that I'd like to know if iPeng will satisfy before I go ahead and purchase (I don't believe there's any trial option with it?) I've previously used Squeezepad, but it doesn't quite work for this particular scenario. What do you mean by „long press option“, BTW? How exactly do you open that menu? You don’t just tap the artist? Yes, I already suspected it only happens when you have more than just the first page loaded from the Server (100 albums). The vast majority of my 112k+ track library doesn't use the AlbumArtist tag - I only use it for true compilations where I want the album to appear under 'Various' or 'Various (Soundtrack)' I can't think of any other artists in my library that exceed 100 entries now though! It might just be a coincidence, but so far I can only replicate it with artists having over 100 entries. I've just experimented with around 30-or-so artists in my library and so far only Depeche Mode (175 entries), Six By Seven (145 entries) and Various Artists (170 entries) have shown this problem. Just tried it with Guided By Voices (90 entries) and R.E.M. but it's only some of the ones further down. I can browse into one near the top, and only ones further down start to duplicate. Note that not all the albums for the affected artist get duplicated. Thanks - it's just the standard Artists option, both from the root level and when using the long-press link to view all albums for an artist from one of the albums. Is this "Artists" or "Albumartists" again? I don't have any artist with more than 100 albums so will somehow have to mimick this. Puh, I also have to try to reproduce that one. I think I saw another thread, so I am going to copy this post there. Initially I thought this was an iPeng problem, but now I am having the same problem with the browser interface. Right now I cannot get Tidal to work at all. I could not get iPeng to play music on my iPhone. Sometimes iPeng worked as a remote control. But never correctly and the symptoms varied. I re-entered my credentials, and it seemed to work again - briefly. Starting on Thursday I began to have issues with Tidal. For some time now, there's been a notice about changes in the Tidal authorization system, indicating that we may have to resubmit our Tidal credentials. What exactly doesn't work? Does it not play or is it not even shown if you select iPeng as a player?īackground - I've been using Tidal via LMS/iPeng for years with no significant issues. Should work, there isn't really a reason it should not. I was thinking widgets, but not worth it if it doubles the size of the Appĭid you get a chance to look into why iPeng downloads lyrics that are already imbedded in the FLAC? Unfortunately, SwiftUI is still pretty limited for more complex UI stuff. Might wait with them for the full Swift rewrite I’m working on. You can’t display anything useful on them because they are completely passive. I was considering home screen widgets, but they are really hard to make useful and since they require Swift they would at least double the executable size of iPeng, I‘m not sure that‘s worth it for something essentially just being a big icon for an individual player. There probably will be a privacy option for the clipboard thing - although technically that has been communicated for years (at least on the blog).Īnd then towards the end of the year I have to remove the web browser, Apple requires that. It’s indeed related to quotes not being correctly encoded in the JSON being sent to the server. Ok, regarding quotes, I‘m going to have a fix for that in the next update.
